Programs for Skaters
CanSkate
CanSkate will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:15 to 7:00 pm.
Children must be age 3 or older. There will be a two week window in which parents can test out the program and decide whether their child is ready. If they wish to discontinue after these two weeks, they would be able to be reimbursed most of their registration fees,
For new members, please contact coach Amanda Mayotte through text at 306-425-9569 or amanda.mayotte@gmail.com to discuss your skater's ability and schedule a skating assessment if necessary.
Besides Amanda, Penny Griffith will be coaching as well. Coaches in Training, as well as skaters from the Junior and Senior StarSkate Program will be on the ice offering support as the skaters need.
Helmets are required.
StarSkate
Juniors
Juniors will be offered to skaters at the Mel Hegland Uniplex on Thursday and Friday from 4 - 6 pm.
Penny Griffith is the certified coach for the StarSkate Program, and will have Coaches in Training on the ice with her.
Junior Prep
Junior Prep will be offered at the Mel Hegland Uniplex on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4 - 5 pm. Skaters who were previously in Advanced CanSkate can register for this program. New skaters must be assessed at the CanSkate level prior to registering for this program.
This program will be working on skills in Stage 5-6 and Star 1. Helmets are required until the skater has passed Stage 6. Figure skates are also required.
Robyn Klassen is the certified coach for Junior Prep, with Jayme Woodhouse-McKenzie assisting her.
StarSkate
Seniors
Seniors will be offered to skaters at the Mel Hegland Uniplex on Monday from 5-6 pm, Tuesday from 4-6 pm and Wednesday from 5-6 pm.
Robyn Klassen is the certified coach for the Seniors, with her sister Jayme Woodhouse- McKenzie assisting her.
