Amanda Mayotte,  Certified CanSkate Coach  

Amanda was born and raised in La Ronge. She became interested in skating at age 5 and worked her way through various levels of skating through the La Ronge Skating Club. Amanda competed at the Regional level, but focused more on testing of skills, achieving Gold Level Dances, Senior Silver Skills and Senior Bronze Freeskate.  She also assisted with CanSkate through her 13 years with the club before moving away. Amanda obtained her Certification as a CanSkate coach in 2017 and was then able to start giving back to the club where she grew up. Amanda loves working with the younger kids, helping them develop a love for skating in general and mastering the basics. Outside of skating, Amanda is a wife and mother to three children, as well as a Registered Nurse in the community at the local Health Centre. Robyn Klassen, Certified StarSkate Coach (Seniors)

Robyn is at trained Provincial Coach with 8 years of coaching experience. Robyn has completed her Gold Skills & Dance. Jr Bronze Freeskate and Silver Interpretive. Robyn has two children and works as a Registered Nurse.

 

 

Penny Griffith, Certified Coach in Training (CanSkate) and StarSkate Coach (Juniors)

Penny started coaching in 1983 at all levels, and has completed her CanSkate Level 1 Certification.  She taught with the club in La Ronge until 2014, when she moved to North Battleford.  While there, she coached for 4 years.  She recently returned to the community and is excited to assist this year with the club. 

 

 

Jayme Woodhouse-McKenzie, Certified Coach in Training (CanSkate) and StarSkate Assistant (Seniors)

Jayme began skating at the age of three, and was a member of the La Ronge Skating Club for 15 years.  She spent several of those years skating competitively.  She hopes to pass along the knowledge and passion for the sport to the younger skaters.
